The scope of this project is the redesign of the iconic Austin Healey 3000. This is an attempt to create a fun to drive car with tough character, produced by the company SAIC Motors. The target group is people with deep love for cars and sport driving, with plenty of time to enjoy rides. They have spontaneous, dynamic personality and of course they are thrilled with the fast car driving experience and sport car’s status. The place is out-of-town urban networks with good asphalt or race tracks both in England with good weather and under good road conditions. Its use case will not be as a commuter but as a vehicle of extraordinary driving experience. The redesign will keep the main character of the identity of the original Austin Healey by incorporating today’s standards without ignoring terms like innovation, driver’s safety,
pedestrian safety and environmental responsibility.

The gasoline engine tranformed to an electric one. The petrol sound became an electric sound which in combination with the straight cut gears, has brought a renewed sound without spoiling the identity of the car
The gears remained, in order to look like its previous driving behavior but with better performance
Hot forming for the processing of the aluminum panels and the injection molding for the creation of the bumpers
